It is representing the widespread values of a group or society. In this essay I will discuss the mainstream idea of capital punishment, gun control, and gay marriage. In America the mainstream idea about capital punishment is 63% are for it, and 30% oppose it while 7% were unsure. Personally I am for capital punishment. I had an uncle that I was really close to and when he met a woman at a bar things went really well. They ended up getting married and when her ex husband found out he shot him in the back. The man that shot him was given 12 years without parole. The idea that gay marriage in America is very bizarre because 47% are for and oppose, and 7% were unsure. I really do not have a strong opinion on the whole idea. I have a gay cusin who is getting married in feburary and I am gon to attend so I guess I am for it.
