There are many ideas and thoughts to how the poor becomes economically disadvantaged. People are trapped in this woeful state due to the influences of their environment, people around them, and if they were born into a poor family. These are basic opinions of researchers. So how does a person become poor? Many believe that the neighborhood you grow up in and your surroundings dictate your status in the social ladder. Example, if you are a born into a poor area you will become poor. People tend to continue what they were brought up in. A poverty stricken area with limited jobs and lesser education resources tend to bring different ways to get income. Therefore, the people in these areas will be contempt of their status and merely “go with the flow”. They will rely on the government’s help and a mediocre job or just their personal way of obtaining income.
