Bench Press It is performed at the Bench Press station. The proper technique is to extend the bar so that it is over your chest while you are lying down on the bench. Push the bar out while exhaling and bring it towards your body while inhaling. To spot the exercise, you must stand behind the person and place your hands on the center part of the bar. The primary muscle that this exercise works is the pectorals major. Incline Bench Press It is performed at the incline bench station. The proper technique is the same as the bench press but the bar will tend to fall forward, so you must prevent that by pushing it at and angle. To spot the exercise, you must perform the same technique as the regular bench press. The primary muscle being worked is the pectorals minor. The Squat It is performed next racks that hold the 45-pound bars. The proper technique is to grasp the bar on both sides and place it between your neck and your traps. Bend down while keeping your back straight and facing foreword. Go down until your knees are almost at a 90-degree angle, then stand up. To spot the exercise, you must place your hand on the person’s back, preventing them from falling.
