Many consumers as of late have filed lawsuits against the major fast food companies such as KFC and McDonalds over allegations that these companies are causing them health problems. Consumers want the companies to pay up for the damages caused by their food. ...
The lawsuits began back in July of 2001 when Caesar Barber, a 56 year old man from New York filed a lawsuit against McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Burger King and Wendy’s, stating that these fast food chains made him and several others overweight, causing health illnesses and problems. Barber claimed to not know the health dangers that fast food can cause and that they didn’t display the ingredients used in their foods (Obese Man Sues, 1).
