In this job we both know the stress you are all under in the workplace. ... As you may or may not know, stress cannot be labelled as a sickness or even a disorder as it can’t be classified because of its diversity; something that may stress one person may have no effect on another and vice versa. ... We will be providing many helpful ways to assist you in handling yourself when it comes to large amounts of stress both at the workplace and at home.
First of all there are two different types of stress; positive and negative stress. Negative stress is the one we know only too well. ... The negative stress can be quite devastating though if left ‘untreated’. ... These generally are only minor or rare symptoms of stress. Excessive stress has been linked with much more serious medical conditions mainly of the mind. ... Harder to believe is the fact that about 80% of all modern diseases have had their origins in stress. All of these medical conditions are directly or indirectly caused or associated by stress. One medical condition directly associated with stress is PSTD or as most know it; post traumatic stress disorder. ... The build up of stressful situations such as the general stress you live through day to day can also be enough to cause a PTSD occurrence. This sort of build up stress is the kind that you don’t deal with because of the lack of time in your life or because of the magnitude of emotions you experienced or for whatever other reasons you have but should be dealt with immediately if not sooner as the effects of a build up of stress can destroy a persons life and the lives of those around them.
