looking for alibrandi
Section 1 The title of the book that I will be doing an essay on is ‘Looking for Alibrandi’ written by Melina Marchetta. During life people learn many things got to do with the way they handle everyday life. Josephine is learning many things while doing her last year at St Martha’s high school. She is learning about her family, friends and the way she looks at everyday life. Things Josie is learning is that people are stupid because they would take there own life over pity things, for example: John Barton. Josie is wondering why he committed suicide and why they didn’t have a choice. Why they couldn’t just say, “No, I don’t want to become a politician”. She is learning that things aren’t always as easy as they seem. She is learning that Jacob really does like her and that her mum doesn’t like it. She is learning that you don’t have to be rich to make people happy and comfort people. She is realising that the people she thinks don’t like her for example: Poison Ivy.
