In the movie Quiz Show, there were many instances in which a person’s conscience came into play. ... From the beginning, he knew that the show was rigged, but yet he did nothing about it. Dan Enright gives Charles the answers to the questions before he gets them on the show. ... If I was Charles Van Doren and in that situation, I would have gone public with the information about it being rigged, therefore shutting down the show “Twenty One”. ...
Herbert Stimple was a person of conscience in the movie because of his pursuit to make sure that the show did not harm the innocence of any more people. Herbert was asked to take a dive by the show, because that was how it worked. ... He was in fact given the answers, just like all of the other contestants, but after he was off the show, he vowed to get them back. ... Then, I would have announced live on the air that the show was rigged and everyone was given the questions. ... This would have affected the outcome of Charles Van Doren’s reign on the show, because it would have been forced to go off the air and everyone would have been fired.
