The Earth is a living organism for many reasons. An organism is something that has many parts that work together well. In ancient times, most people believed that the Earth was a living thing. Like all living things, every single part of the Earth has circulation or cycles. Finally, all living things on Earth, including the Earth itself, depend on each other for survival
Many people have wondered what a living organism is. A living thing can be defined as something that has and spends energy grows and which has a purpose. Animals, including humans, are living things because they have and use energy for many purposes, such as finding food, making shelter and for moving from one place to another. The purpose of animals is to create a balance between other living things. Plants are living things because they convert energy from the Sun, water and air to create oxygen, to grow, and to become a part of the food chain.
