Eulogy Beulah Bernice McLaughlin Read and Written By: Eric Daniel McLaughlin (eldest grandson) If I had to pick one word to describe my grandmother, that one word would definitely be “strong”. Beulah McLaughlin was without question, the strongest human being I have ever known. She stared adversity right in the face, looked it dead in the eye and said “I WILL beat you!” She had that wonderful determination and she handled it all with the best attitude you could imagine. She tackled problems like an all-pro linebacker tackling a third string quarterback but yet was so sweet and loving. While she was the mother of three children, she still made time to run around selling things like Avon and Tri-Chem. She took my father to softball games and stood right on the sidelines to cheer him on. She did all these things outside her home and was still there for all three of her children whenever they needed their mother. When her first grandbaby was born, Nana fit time into her whirlwind of a schedule to wake Angela up with cold water in the mornings when she wouldn’t get out of bed.
