Why I am pursuing a masters degree
Even before my graduation from high school in 1965 I had set educational goals that not only included obtaining a bachelors degree but also a masters degree. I recognized even back then at an early age a masters degree could significantly improve my ability to achieve both my financial and career aspirations. My original plan was to graduate from high school, work for one year and save enough money for my tuition, and begin coursework towards completing my bachelors degree. Following completion of my undergraduate work I would then enter graduate school and complete a masters degree. Once armed with both my bachelors and masters degrees I would enter the workforce well prepared to launch my career and earn the "Big bucks.
