In the short story A & P written by John Updike a young man finds himself caught between lust, and true adulthood and like many average teen chooses a impulsive lust for three teen girls who walk into a inland A&P in nothing but bathing suits. In A & P a 19 year old young man named Sammy who works at a local grocery store meets up with 3 beauty’s. ... In away my thoughts about A& P and Sammy’s decision to quit his job also agree with Andrew Christopher’s criticism on the story.
