MACBETH
This report is about the comparison between the play and the film version of MACBETH. ... Between the film version and the novel of Macbeth I think the film version interested me more. Reading Macbeth in the novel was all right, but since it was written in the old English language version I didn’t quite understand it. Seeing Macbeth in the film version was more interesting, yes they did speak in the old English version, but by watching and hearing the character’s action, reaction and personalities I understood it more than the novel.
In the film version of Macbeth there are some additions and deletions. The additions in the film are, Macbeth killing the murders, Macbeth having a dream, and at the end of the play Donalbain going to the three witches to find out his future. Some of these additions such as Macbeth killing the murders and having a dream of getting killed by Banquo and his son Fleance shows me that Macbeth is afraid from being discovered as a traitor or tyrant.
