Operating Definition Organizational Behavior (OB) is the study of the ways in which organizations deal with issues affecting their competitiveness in a chaining business environment. Practitioners of OB analyze various leadership techniques, and study various issues such as ethics in business, social responsibility, management of group dynamics, uses of information technology, workplace stress and conflict, motivation of employees, and globalization. OB encompasses the way employees relate to one another, the culture of the organization and it dictates how effective or ineffective a particular organization will be. The four management functions of planning, organizing, leading and controlling mold and shape the behaviors of particular organizations.
