"Matrix: Reloaded", part two of the web that is the Matrix trilogy and its counterparts, "The Animatrix" and spin off graphic series, did indeed live up to expectations, answered just about every speculatory question from the previous film while simultaneously establishing a host of other queries and leaves you begging for part three "Matrix: Revolutions", which will feel like an agonizingly long five months when it premieres November 5*, 2003. ...
Neo is now able to have premonitions outside of the Matrix, illustrated so well with the beginning sequence, which includes an explosion, a beautifully executed fight sequence between Trinity and several other opponents and bullet time shootout skyscraper fall. ... Their relationship is strained due to his time being split among the Matrix and Zions Neo worshippers, so they barely have time to themselves. ... As it turns out, they literally have days before two hundred and fifty thousand sentinels finally reach Zion, which creates an urgent need for the Counsel to send Neo to destroy the Matrix before Zion is decimated. ... Afterwards they return to the Matrix, where they have received a call by the Oracle, who has gone into hiding and is now under the protection of Seraph, a rogue program like the Oracle. Seraph leads Neo to the Oracle throgh the "back doors" of the Matrix. ... He has been busy doing this internally, writing over human minds, including those freely jacked in from other ships, and other programs, replacing them with his own copies, in itself establishing an almost infinite army of Smith clones that could literally populate not only the matrix, but those still in the real world. ...
Morpheus, Trinity & Neo then go to an upscale French restaurant where Merovingian (Lambert Wilson) is having dinner with his wife Persephone (Monica Bellucci), guarded by his bodyguards, most prominantly the Twins, albino rogue programs who "ghosts" about the Matrix and does his every bidding.
