“Only believe and absolutely cling to God” (20), was the “secret” behind Smith Wigglesworth’s pioneering ministry. In the biography, “The Life of Smith Wigglesworth” by Jack Hywel-Davies, the author emphasizes that this uneducated Yorkshire plumber‘s ministry was built solely on his great faith in God. It was Smith Wigglesworth’s faith that began his ministry, it was Wigglesworth’s faith that helped him overcome his illiteracy; it was Wigglesworth’s faith that allowed him to overcome his wife’s death; and it was Wigglesworth’s faith that allowed him to heal and save thousands of people. ... ’ (144) The author not only include quotes from Wigglesworth in his book but also testimonies of individuals who were healed from his ministry. ... (148) He made this a life practice, thus he was able to finish well.
One confusing aspect with Hywel-Davies’ writing can be noted in the following passage,
”…where do showers come from?
