The proposal begins with a description of the system request followed by an outline of the project team’s strategy to gather information about the current attendance reporting process. Next, a brief explanation of the recommended system and its functionality, followed by a description of the tangible and intangible benefits of the system. The proposal then moves into how the system would function in CMS’s environment with a high-level process flow and a data model/structure, which illustrates how the data would be reflected and managed in the system. The proposal concludes with an informal benchmarking analysis in an effort to inform stakeholders of what another school is doing to increase the efficiency of their attendance reporting processes and the software systems available that address this problem. Lastly, a sample prototype is displayed to showcase the preliminary look of the proposed system.
