There’s a debate going on whether or not Oregon should pass a bill called the Senate Bill 99. If SB99 passes it will allow our drinking water to be fluoride in some cities with a population over ten thousand. In the article written by Nick Budnick called The “F” word there’s some evidence shared on why we shouldn’t fluoridate our waters. In order to make a fair decision on the topic we should consider both sides. From some of the evidence mention in the reading it sounds like it would be a good idea and if it was my choice there would be fluoride in the drinking water. One comparison point mention that was made on why SB99 should not be passed was published by the food and drug administrative back in 1997 was,” fluoride is a poison.” Payne fired back with disagreement and a statement of comparison.
