The TiVo can be viewed as both a consumer product and as a digital media management service. Combined, the TiVo offers consumers the ability to personally manage their television experience without limitations as to scheduling. From a consumer's viewpoint, which is matter to marketers, TiVo is like VCR on digital steroids, with an easy-to-use interface that will elicit a smile on the face of anyone who's ever tried programming a VCR. TiVo are the primary gateway to the couch potato experience, the main course in your TV dinner. With virtually no effort on your part, they digitally record your favorite shows, storing them on a hard drive to be watched at any time. With TiVo, there are no more pointless channel surfing, and no longer forced viewers to sit through the same irrelevant commercial five times in one hour. There are several factors that can facilitate adoption. One of them is a TiVoˇ¦s feature. Among the popular features was the season pass that allowed users to specify their favorite show, so that TiVo would automatically record all its episodes. Also, TiVo has features that can pause live TV, shift programming and skip advertisement.
