Growing up in my family was nothing short of growing up in the white house. My life was under constant scrutiny. Everything I did wrong was headlined and sent over the wires in seconds. And the along with all the negative feedback one can handle. So I learned quickly that to be accepted into my family I needed to be “perfect’. So I worked harder at school, made honor roll and got tons of teacher praise. My house was silent. I tried out for the cheerleading squad since this was social acceptable in my house, and made varsity. It still wasn’t good enough. Tried out for soccer and was co-capon my second year. At home it was like I didn’t exist. By this time I was in high school, so I knew I have to step in all up at notch. I quickly got a job at Eckerd, a drug store down the street, while still maintaining my grades and sports.
