This semester has been beneficial to me in many ways. Starting from the beginning of the semester when we learned about job search and resume building to the end where we have completed a business presentation. The resume building work was the most beneficial to me. I had created a resume in High School but felt like it was long and not well organized. The reason the class was so helpful was because I used this class to change it around, add new accomplishments and activities, and actually use the new resume to acquire a position for summer work. I will also have these skills the next time I am in need of a job. Plus the whole portfolio project was good to learn because while working on the assignments I felt I really learned a lot about myself and my strengths and weaknesses. This helped me prepare for what kind of job I was looking for and also helped me declare a major and a minor for my course of study. Everyone always has areas in which they need improvement and mine always falls in the grammar area.
