No one could hear her cries. She was alone in the world. Anyone she ever loved had abandoned her and made it seem as though she didn’t exist. Why would they do that to her? She made sure that she told her “ friends “ what they meant to her any time she made contact with them... but they all left her and started new lives. She really was a sweet person. Her name was Katrina. Everything about her was graceful. She had strawberry blond hair, gray eyes, and pearly white teeth. She stood about five feet seven inches high and weighed 120 pounds. She was the dream girl; everyone wanted to be her. On top of that, she had a chance to be valedictorian in her senior class. She was walking alone on the streets of Denville on that chili autumn night. In the distance she could hear the cries of a young man. She trembled as she felt her stomach churn. She began to feel week at the knees. She examined every possibility of what could be going on. The only thing she knew for sure was that he was in trouble and she needed to help him. It was amazing to Katrina that she had been the only person in the entire town who could hear his trembling echoes. How could that be possible? It was a Friday night and there were people everywhere. She continued walking down the road searching for the voice. It sounded so close yet so far away. She checked in all of the alleys and tunnels in the one-mile radius. She found absolutely nothing at all. She had already traveled through most of the town.
