Recollections of Thomas Wicks(Uncle Tom)
We are gathered here today to pay respects to Thomas Wicks a wonderful husband ,
loving father, and proud grandparent and great grandparent. Besides these qualities he
was also a great brother, father in law, uncle and overall a good and decent man. As
I sat to try to put into words the feeling and thoughts that I have of Uncle Tom I could
only smile and laugh at all the fond memories he has left. ... Of
course everywhere I went all the adults would say I looked just like Uncle Tom. ...
The stories about Uncle Tom were too numerous to remember. ...
Uncle Tom seemed to be a shy, quiet man when in large groups. ... Uncle Tom never said a word.
I soon learned that Uncle Tom was respected and loved by his co-workers as well. ... I have never heard a bad word said by
anyone about Uncle Tom, only what a great guy he was.
I spent many an evening listening to Uncle Tom and my father discuss everything from
hunting to engines. ...
Uncle Tom was a great woodsman and he loved the outdoors.
