Personal Goals for Study at University of Phoenix My return to the academic arena has been, for me, a long time coming. I am hungry for the fruits that grow only in the Garden of Didactica, and I have brought with me an enticing shopping list of what I hope to harvest here. Some of the fare I intend to reap I need in order to revitalize the body I already possess, and some I have been simply starving for all of my life. Some, certain academic skills I possess I hope to expand or strengthen during my course of study at University of Georgia. One of my strongest skills is a facility in comprehending text and communicating my ideas verbally. My father began teaching me the alphabet when I was eighteen months old, using flashcards he had made, so the written word has long been a favorite companion of mine. I spoke early and my parent’s insistence upon speaking to me as an adult from a very early age challenged my developing mind, giving me strength and agility in expressing myself that few others in my early peer groups possessed. To this day, I experience great pleasure and stimulation amidst the world of words, and I hope to continue in honing my skills in this program of study and beyond.
