My father’s side of the family originates in England, where his grandparents were born. Around 1910 they set sail in search for a new life. They traveled by boat to eastern Canada and made their way to Manitoba to start a family but then soon after they moved to Saskatchewan. They started a farm and raised their family here. Both my fathers parents were born in Sask. around the mid twenties. My father was born in Regina, Sask. in 1948. In 1956 they all moved to Vancouver B.C. because there was more work offered there. My father was raised in Vancouver and moved to Nelson in 1979 to work as a plumber.
