The question asked for the unit “Do Bees Build it best?” was if the honeycomb was an efficient shape for storing honey? To reach this solution we had to discover the basics. As the unit started, we went right into finding area using the geo-board model. Right away we learned the formulas to finding the area of a triangle (B times H divided by two). Then we learned the formulas for parallelograms (B times H) and trapezoids (Base1 plus Base2 times height, divided by two). We also had to learn trigonometry to find missing sides when only an angle is given.
