Various kinds exercise are good for people and society. Consider the following: Benefits to physical health Sedentary nature of modern living Cardiovascular system Reduction in heart attacks Benefits to all the ways the body functions Mental health Relief from stress Social benefits-mixing with other people Especially for young people- builds self-confidence Happier families and family life Economic benefits Higher productivity at work People can work with more concentration and energy Lower health costs Less pressure on medical and health services The government could undertake media campaigns to encourage people to exercise more sports heroes could be used to make exercise more popular. This is like a subsidy for the private sector, as promotion of exercise is being paid for by the taxpayer.
