Exercise 3.1 Benefits of Education Some benefits of getting an education are immediate and some are long-range. List two specific short-range and two specific long-range benefits for you in getting a college education. Short-range benefits: 1. You graduate, prospective employers will want to know what kind of a student you were in college 2. When two or more equally qualified people are being considered for a position, that position usually goes to the person with the highest G.P.A Exercise 3.2 Class Attendance Find the answer to the first question in your college catalog, course syllabus, or student handbook. 1. What is the official school policy on class attendance and absence? Students are required to attend class regularly, arrive punctually, and to complete all assigned work. 2. For each of the classes in which you are enrolled, indicate the course name and number, professor's name, and indicate if his or her attendance policy is written anywhere or if it was stated.
