My research and presentation was on the subject of rape. ... On of the areas I wish I had more clearly explained and stressed to the class was the fact that so many rape crises and treatment centers are out there and available for victims to turn to, and usually at no cost. The very first web site I brought up was the UCLA rape crises treatment center web site. ... I had no idea that rape was such a high risk for women. I did not think that rape was as prevalent in today’s society as it is. ... Between prostitution, rape, lesbianism and bisexuality, sexual harassment, domestic abuse, drug abuse, depression and god knows what else, everybody can tie some life experiences to what was presented in class over these last few weeks.
