Hi, the topic I chose to do my assignment on is the historical comparison of Cadbury advertisements in the last 70 years. My key questions are… How has the Cadbury logo made an impact on the company? How has advertising affected the company’s popularity over the years? What types of advertisements are more effective? What language techniques have changed over the years? What visual techniques have changed over the years? And finally, what advertisement techniques have changed over the years? To answer my first question, how has the Cadbury logo made an impact on the company, well the Cadbury logo has been around since Cadbury was founded in 1886, which is over a century ago, and because the logo hasn’t changed, this gains the company such a recognisable and trustworthy name. Whenever you buy a product and you see the logo “Cadbury” on it. You immediately know that this product is fresh and trustworthy. It wasn’t until the 1950’s when the two milk glasses were added to the logo, one full and one half empty, this image gives the viewer of the advert a feeling of freshness and quality. Even though the logo has never changed it has had some things added to it rather than taken away from it.
