How to March

Ding ding ding! Imagine yourself at a football game… The timer has just sounded to mark halftime. As the team rushes off the field, fans cheer and scream wildly. Then, a voice comes over the intercom announcing the band’s halftime show. The band marches onto the field to execute a remarkable performance. How did they do it? In order to march exceptionally, one must learn the following three steps: the glide step, the backward glide, and the crab. The first and most basic step that must be learned is the glide step. Since marchers use this step to move forward, it is the step used most often. To execute this step, one must first step off with his or her toes in the air. It is crucial to remember that the first step is always taken with the left foot.
