When I asked about attitudes about prostitution I was told “they choose to be out there,” “no harm is done,” “ it is a victimless crime,” “our money should help those who deserve it, not the prostitutes. According to the Coalition Against Trafficking in Woman International there are several reasons not to legalize prostitution. ... If we are trying to dignify those in prostitution by legalizing it, we are not. ... Legalizing would also promote sex trafficking and increase hidden and illegal prostitution. ...
Part of me wants to say yes we should legalize prostitution, because it would help stop the spread of diseases and help prostitutes keep in check with health issues.
