Hats in the school building are causing an uproar, not because students are wearing them, but because they're not. Students used to have a fair amount of freedom in Grosse Pointe South High School. Times have changed and we are almost left without any freedom at all. Students used to be able to smoke cigarettes on school grounds, and teachers used to smoke in the teachers lounge. Students are beginning to show anger. Hats in the building to some teachers may be considered disrespectful. This is alright and should be respected. While students are in these classes where hats are not appropriate they should be taken off. I know many teachers do not have a problem with the hat rule. An example of this would be Mr.
