Mental Analysis of Ender
“No mans genius, however shining, can raise him from obscurity, unless he has industry, opportunity, and also a patron to recommend him. ... The main character of Enders Game, and therefore the main set of ideas, resides as Ender Wiggen. Ender has three distinct parts to his conscience, which help to define his above normal thinking abilities, and thoroughness. In the teacher’s manipulation of his different parts to create a passionate killer, he develops poor mental health. ... and rather low self-esteem seen in Ender. The seclusion and mental trauma Ender went through became essential to his victory: for, “The mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be kindled (Plutarch).”
Ender Wiggin’s living self comprises of three main parts. ... Peter accounts for Ender’s id. ... Peter symbolizes this through ender many times through out the book especially in the mind game (a game played in the combat training school). In one instance Ender kills a giant, “He hadn’t meant to kill the giant. ... ” (Enders Game, page 65) This shows Peters destructive influence and also Ender weighing the possible conclusions to his actions.
