In Robert Peck?s novel, A Day No Pigs Would Die, Rob?s dad butchered hogs for a living. He also tended his farm with Rob?s help. After Rob?s dad passed away, Rob stayed in school and ran the farm. Rob?s dad couldn?t read or write, so his career options were limited, but because Rob was well educated, his mission would differ from his dad?s. Almost everyone?s parents are currently working. My dad works at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. He works as a Pharmacist and teaches courses at Wilson College. My mom is a homemaker which, in a way, is a type of work. She does the daily chores and takes care of the dogs. My parents, in my eyes, are very hard workers, especially my dad.
