Despite what punishment is dealt to the key players in the Enron scandal by the Unites States Court System, they should be more worried about their after-life and what moral rules God says they broke. I will be examining the malevolent acts of Kenneth Lay, who was Enron’s chief executive and chairman; Andrew Fastow, who was the author of the deceptive accounting processes etc… through the seventh commandment, which simply states in much complexity—You shall not steal. ... Let’s see where they went wrong shall we? ... ” Granted, some people work harder and have more responsibility in life, thus they are entitled to more or better goods, but if the goods aren’t theirs as in the case of the Enron stock in which many employees had faithfully entrusted their 401(k) plans, it just isn’t theirs to sell out to willing buyers.
