Lack of Horror
Movies are a billion dollar form of entertainment that people frequently go to see. ... Horror films in particular are usually introduced around Halloween and run through the end of the year. In the early 1950’s the first true horror film was “Psycho” scripted from the thrilling novel by Alfred Hitchcock. “Psycho” was such a popular movie because it was the first movie of its kind; it set the bar for horror films today. As of late, horror films seem dull and directed towards the teenage audience. Movies like: “Scream, Valentine, I Know What you did Last Summer, and Urban Legend” are those kinds of shallow horror films. ... The movie “I Know What you did Last Summer” staring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Freddie Prince Junior, is an entertaining movie with no overall “real” horror. ... Even though horror flicks are now marketed to the younger generation, producers need to exclude actors that do not really offer dramatic qualities to the table.
