If I had included both arguments in my resolution then I would have to prove two burdens of proof which complicates the resolution and makes it harder to win the argument. ... The resolution “ The murderous destruction of animals for the purpose of human devourment is immoral” would deflect their thoughts from the idea that consumption is immoral to the process of how the animals are prepared. ... I would rather word it more safely, and prove my thoughts through argument rather than shock value. ...
