A Doll's House by Henrick Ibsen

Ibsen does a great job promoting the emotions of stress, anxiety, frustration, and suspense in this play. Throughout the play I wonder what is going to happen next. I like how he arranges the plot of the play. Everything seems to be going well for Nora, but underneath are feelings of guilt and shame. His portrayal of Nora's self-centered, childish, and ignorant behavior gradually changes into feelings of independence the more she realizes that she broke the law as well as brought disgrace to her family. She wants everyone to be happy especially her husband, but in the end, she is the unhappy one.
