La Rondine *
April 8, 2003, our class was given the opportunity of viewing La Rondine from the second row of the Shubert Theatre. ...
I enjoyed Puccini’s music as well as the appeal of La Rondine significantly more than Il Travatore by the Opera Lirico d’Europa. ... I believe that La Rondine had more creative and affective sets, shinier/flashier costumes, and more talented actors. By reading through the playbill of La Rondine I discovered that this talent was due to the actors/actresses experience in many other different performances including Il Travatore. Because La Rondine is considered a comedy the music was more light and flirtatious.
