MY FIRST DAY AT TROY UNIVERSITY
MY FIRST DAY AT TROY UNIVERSITY. The night was ending, and the day was breaking. ... Traditional songs and dances graced the occasion and everything seemed so colorful, and this would run for a whole week with the climax being the wedding day. ... When I first arrived at Troy University, one thing that confused me was where I was supposed to start registering. ... I then started the hustles of registering thinking that it was going to be hard, comparing it with my former university where the whole process of registration took a whole two weeks. Within no time I was through with a part of the registration that was crucial for that day. During the day I was frequently faced with culture shock about how people dressed and acted in public places. ... That is when I was reminded of my communication and culture class back in my former university where we were taught about how to cope in different cultures and the way people in different cultures relate and communicate. At that time I came to appreciate the lecturer for enlightening me on some issues about different cultures because I never thought I would use some of the course content to my present day life.
