	Osmosis and Diffusion
	Osmosis and Diffusion In the first part of the lab we learned a little bit about Osmosis. We took small cylindrical tubes known as dialysis tubing. We filled four of the tubes with different percentages of sucrose solutions. We used 5%, 10%, 20%, and 40% sucrose solutions. In the last tubes we filled it with distilled water. We then tied the ends of the tubes and put them into beakers which contained 200ml of water, except for the tube filled with water, we put that one in a beaker filled with 200ml of 40% sucrose solution. As the different tubes in the beakers soaked, the four with the sucrose solution expand due to the water diffusing into the tube.
