The quote by William Saroyan says that good people ... are good because they've come to wisdom through failure. This quote implies that smart people always learn from failure. They will be more intelligent after they did some mistakes. I agree with this quote because good people knows what to do after they failed. They will try to avoid the same failure happens to them again.The novel Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, and the short story Family Happiness, by Leo Tolstoy, both feature good people always learn from the experience of mistakes or failure. In Metamorphosis, the characterization of Gregor Samsa provides proof that good people would gain sagacity from failure.Gregor Samsa's reality changes indifferently in spite of his physical changes. Before the Metamorphosis, Gregors life consisted of working and caring for his family. He was a traveling salesman, working long hours, which didn't permit to him living his own "life".
