Photographs remind us, the people, of old times and or old memories. They let one know that the person in the picture existed in our world, at one time or another. They also let us know that someone cared enough about that person to make their face permanent on a shiny piece of paper. I have plenty of photographs which I admire greatly. Some of the photographs I own are of old friends or relatives and some are of the new. I own some that bring back happy memories and some that bring sadness. Pictures with his friends and or family members, is something Frederick Douglass never owned during his slave days.
