Plato and the movie Momento

Plato’s “Allegory of the Cave” sets up several ideas that are represented symbolically in the film “Memento”. Plato represents the idea that people are ignorant of their true reality until they seek knowledge in the Allegory, with the prisoners in the cave that are only able to see shadows cast upon the wall in front of them. ... “Memento” directed by Christopher Nolan reminds me of the allegory for several reasons, which will be clear once the premise and plot of the movie are explained. ...
