The global human phenomenon, known as terrorism, has had its roots as far back as Wilson’s administration. ... Springing forward to the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 American sentiment has turned to, “why do they hate us so much? ... ”
To answer those questions in present day perspective would be extremely difficult because the emotional out-pour of our enemies have been deeply rooted in our shadowy history and mistakes we have made over time which in essence have denounced foreign civil liberties and thrown us into a high horsed arrogant capitalistic light that angered and led them to envy our achievements and the lack of religious culture that brought us there. ... has led to the previously stated hatred for us. ... America’s own violent tendencies have made us live a “double life” in the eyes of the rest of the world. ... This is just one of the dozens of differences of simple society between the two distant worlds, but they do show just why we are who we are and why we are treated that way. ... government seems to have a “monopoly on force”, that whatever we want to do, we can do, we are always right, and you can’t stop us. ... For the past few decades the constant war-torn nations of the middle east have been economically deprived, but poverty doesn’t immediately lead to terrorism, but rather the out lash to secure income, food, and opportunities for children are the common reason for the more petty forms of terrorism, which cannot compare to the intense hatred and planning of the 9/11 attack. ... America has become increasingly vulnerable to terrorism. ... An illusion of safety has settled over the masses, though our democratic freedoms make us an easy target.
