This is perhaps the most difficult paper that I have ever attempted to write because I know that my philosophy of teaching will, and indeed should, change over time. However, as I continue to develop my philosophy of teaching I continue to realize there are several unchanging constants that have always, and will always, exist within my philosophy of teaching. ... It is within these four cornerstones that the essential fundamentals of my teaching philosophy are found.
This cornerstone is perhaps the most important to my philosophy of teaching. ... To me this is the most important part of my teaching philosophy. This part of my teaching philosophy means that I want my students to spend their time in my classroom learning because it is fun and interesting, not because they need to learn to survive in school. ... Another concept of my philosophy of teaching that relates to my students is, Students are people, not computers.
