1. What do you think is going on in this poem? Aengus is out in the woods to relax because of the anger and frustration inside him. Aengus makes a fishing pool from the items around him. When the time was right, he threw the bait into the stream and caught a little silver trout. As he laid the trout on the floor all ready to be cooked over the fire, the little silver trout turned into a glimmering girl. The glimmering girl then faded into the air after calling Aengus’s name. Now, Aengus is getting old, but his love for this glimmering girl is so strong, that he would do anything it takes to find her.
