Teaching is different from other jobs. Many works are done for money but teaching is done for honor. Teachers want his or her students to do great work in school for their better future. The purposes of teaching are same but process may be very. Teachers have their own teaching techniques and styles, which they believe is the best and easiest way for their students to understand the subjects. Students often tend to judge their teachers by not only their personalities but also the quality of their teaching skills. Besides, skilled teachers can inspire students and motivate them to learn more. Students remember those special teachers for a long time, though there are only few numbers of them. Among such teachers, Mr. Martens, Miss Riley, and Mr. Kim have motivated their students by showing humor, supports, competitive method, and loves. Many times, teachers try to use their humor in class to get students’ attentions and try to help them learning the subject with pleasantly. Jack Martens is a music teacher at Benjamin Franklin Middle School in San Francisco. Although he is an elder teacher, he still tries to be close with his students just like a friend. He sometimes acts silly in the class such as dancing and jumping in order to receive students’ attentions (Guthrie, A12).
