Discovering Journalism Essay
For hundreds of years, newspapers have been a primary source of information for all different kinds of people. ... Now, with the digital age rapidly gaining steam, along with the convenience of television and the emergence of the internet, it appears that newspapers have been put on the proverbial backburner by the American public. ... Even newspapers themselves have started to flock to the online feeder, as countless papers have tossed aside tradition and opted to go digital. The Boston Globe, New York Times, Washington Post and countless other newspapers now sport fancy new websites, and the market for newspapers has started to decline, with many “experts” even predicting the eventual demise of newspapers. ... However, because of the surplus of journalists and writers in America today, and because of the constant demand in America to get every single viewpoint, angle and opinion possible on a given subject, newspapers will continue to thrive in America, and will eventually experience a resurgence of popularity much like magazines have in the past few years.
