Misconception to Women in Islam
“Whoever works in righteousness, men and women, and has a Faith, they will enter Paradise and not the least injustice will be done to them. ... Being a Muslim woman, I am deeply offended by most people’s false assumptions towards women in Islam. These misconceptions include the ideas that women in Islam are oppressed, inert, and have no identity or freedom. Through writing this paper, I feel a fulfilling opportunity to inform and to fill the knowledge gap regarding the status and feelings of women in Islam.
Often, I hear people saying women in Islam are oppressed. On the contrary, Islam gives so much reverence to women. Islam grants women all the rights to choose in all aspects of life.
